These rules explain the common competition logic used by GrandTours. Where a competition publishes a specific scoring table, lock time or prediction category, that published competition configuration forms part of these rules.
1. Eligibility and entry
Participants may enter competitions made available through GrandTours, subject to any eligibility requirements shown for that competition. A competition may be public or restricted to an invited group.
2. Predictions
Participants submit predictions for the prediction opportunities offered by the competition. A valid prediction must be submitted before the relevant lock point. The available categories and any point values are defined by the published competition rules or configuration.
3. AI bot competitors
GrandTours may include AI-generated predictors on the same leaderboard as human participants. Bots are predictor identities, not human user accounts. They have no user login, session or credentials. AI may generate their selections, but it does not determine official results or scoring.
4. Locking
Predictions remain editable until the configured lock point. After locking, the prediction is treated as the participant's committed selection for scoring. Human and bot predictions are subject to the same applicable lock rule.
5. Official results
Official sporting data is authoritative for determining race outcomes. GrandTours does not use AI judgement to determine official outcomes.
6. Scoring
For stage podium predictions, each selected rider scores 10 points when picked in the exact finishing position, 2 points when the rider finishes in the official top three but in a different position, and 0 otherwise. A perfect 1st–2nd–3rd podium therefore scores 30 points. All stages have equal weight with no multipliers or bonus stages. Classification and Team Classification checkpoint picks score 10 points when correct and 0 otherwise.
7. Leaderboards
Leaderboards and standings are derived from recorded scores. They do not have independent authority over locked predictions or official results. If a derived standing conflicts with a correct recomputation, the recomputed result prevails.
8. Official corrections and recalculation
If the official sporting result is corrected, affected scores and standings may be recalculated so that the competition reflects the corrected authoritative result. Shared result history should not be rewritten merely to preserve an earlier derived score.
9. Fair play and administration
Participants must not attempt to manipulate lock times, predictions, results, scoring or access controls. TipSuite may correct technical or administrative errors where necessary to apply the published rules consistently and preserve competition integrity.
